Troy Murphy looks a little off lately for the Indiana Pacers

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Need to Step Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 6:48 pm

Forward Troy Murphy has been a little bit off this month as he’s only shooting 35.3% from the floor. In 2 games this month, Murphy is only averaging 18.5 minutes, 8.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. The Pacers need more from Murphy as they gave up a lot to get him last season.

Two players have been outstanding for the Indiana Pacers this month

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 6:40 pm

Jermaine O’Neal and Jamaal Tinsley are off to outstanding starts in December. Jermaine O’Neal is finally looking like his old self this month. In 3 games this month he is averaging 33.0 minutes, 21.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.7 blocks per game. Jamaal Tinsley has been one of the best point guards in the NBA so far in December. In 3 games he has averaged 38.3 minutes, 22.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 2.3 steals per game. If these guys both keep playing like they are right now the Pacers could be a surprise team in the NBA this season.

The Indiana Pacers have been better than advertised so far this season

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Game Recaps by alleyoop on Tuesday 11 December 2007 at 6:30 pm

The Indiana Pacers are in second place in the Central Division with a 10-10 record which has them 4 games behind the Pistons. The Pacers have played really well on offense as they are averaging 103.6 points per game. But, the defense has left a lot to be desired as they have allowed 104.7 points per game. It will be interesting to see if the Pacers can keep up the good work but they have to be pleased with how they have played so far.

Kareem Rush has been disappointing to the Indiana Pacers so far this season

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Need to Step Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 4 December 2007 at 5:31 pm

Maybe the Pacers should have left Kareem Rush in Europe. He has only shot 34.9% from the floor and that was supposed to be the main skill that he brings to the table. Rush has played in 17 games so far this season and he’s averaged 10.8 minutes, 3.4 points, 1.0 rebound and 0.8 assists per game. He will definately start losing playing time if he doesn’t pick up the pace soon.
