The Pacers need Jamaal Tinsley to play better

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Need to Step Up by alleyoop on Sunday 11 March 2007 at 11:30 pm

Jamaal Tinsley has played very poorly as of late and that’s not good.  When a point guard is tossing up a lot of bricks it tends to bog down the offense and that’s been a huge problem for the Pacers as of late.  In his last 5 games, Tinsley has only hit 34.4% of his shots from the floor and he’s averaged 10.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.8 assists.  The Pacers need him to play better if they’re going to have any chance of making the playoffs this season.

Mike Dunleavy playing well lately

Blogged under Bloglockers, Front Page, Steppin Up by alleyoop on Sunday 11 March 2007 at 11:25 pm

Over the last 7 games Dunleavy has really stepped up his level of play.  He’s shot 50% from the floor and he’s averaged 14.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.  The Pacers need Dunleavy to keep playing at this level because the Pacers are an offensively challenged basketball team.

The Pacers will be without Jermaine O’Neal and Marquis Daniels for a few games

Blogged under Big Pacers News, Bloglockers, Front Page, Injuries by alleyoop on Sunday 11 March 2007 at 4:57 pm

The Pacers will be without Jermaine O’Neal and Marquis Daniels for the next three or four games.  O’Neal is impossible for the Pacers to be without as he’s their best player without a doubt.  O’Neal has a sprained left knee and will be missed on both ends of the floor.  O’Neal had played in 54 games this season and he’s averaged 19.7 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.9 blocks per game.  Marquis Daniels has tendinitis in the left knee.  He’s a valuable reserve for the Indiana Pacers who will miss his athletic ability.  Daniels has averaged 17.8 minutes, 7.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game so far this season.  The Pacers could be in trouble as they’ve been fading as of late.
