The Colts have waived 25-year old QB Chandler Harnish, 26-year old TE Dominique Jones and 24-year old G/T Ben Ijalana.  Harnish was the #253 overall pick (7th round) in the 2012 NFL Draft.  He didn’t play in any games as a rookie for the Colts last year.  Jones played in 4 games for the Colts last year and he caught 1 pass for 8 yards.  Ijalana didn’t play in any games last year for the Colts.  He played in 4 games (0 starts) as a rookie for the Colts in 2011.  The Colts should be fine without this trio in 2013.

The Indianapolis Colts waive DT Drake Nevis

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by joelapinski on Sunday 1 September 2013 at 12:46 am

The Colts have waived 24-year old DT Drake Nevis.  Nevis played in 9 games for the Colts last year and he had 16 tackles and 1 sack.  Nevis played in 14 games in his two years with the Colts and he had 35 tackles, 1 sack and 1 pass defensed.  Nevis was a big disappointment for the Colts, so they won’t miss him too much moving forward….if at all.

Blogged under Big Colts News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by joelapinski on Saturday 16 March 2013 at 12:15 pm

The Colts have released 27-year old safety Tom Zbikowski.  He played in 11 games for the Colts last year and he had 38 tackles, 5 passes defensed, 1 interception and 1 sack.  He also returned 6 kickoffs for 123 yards (20.5 avg) last year.  He has now played in 64 games in his first five years in the NFL and he has 126 tackles, 2 sacks, 9 passes defensed, 1 tackle for a loss and 2 sacks.  The Colts should be o.k. without Zbikowski.

The Indianapolis Colts waive TE Dominique Jones

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by admin on Tuesday 4 December 2012 at 2:31 pm

The Colts have waived 25-year old TE Dominique Jones.  Jones played in 4 games for the Colts this year and he caught 1 pass for 8 yards.  This is not much of a loss for the Colts as they are loaded at TE.  Jones’ roster spot would be better served for another player right now with the Colts pushing for a playoff spot.

The Indianapolis Colts release DE Antonio Dixon

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by admin on Tuesday 30 October 2012 at 1:31 pm

The Colts have released 27-year old DE Antonio Dixon.  Dixon played in 2 games for the Colts this year and he had 1 tackle.  Dixon has now played in 37 games in his first four years in the NFL and he has 51 tackles, 3 sacks, 5 tackles for a loss and 2 passes defensed.  This isn’t much of a loss for the Colts moving forward.

The Indianapolis Colts release Mewelde Moore

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by admin on Tuesday 30 October 2012 at 1:30 pm

The Colts have released 30-year old RB Mewelde Moore.  Moore played in six games for the Colts this year and he carried the ball 9 times for 14 yards (1.6 ypc).  Moore also caught 4 passes for 36 yards (9.0 avg) with a TD grab and he also returned 3 kickoffs for 50 yards (16.7 avg) this year for the Colts.  With Donald Brown back and Vick Ballard stepping up, the Colts just couldn’t justify giving Moore a roster spot any longer.  Moore should be able to hook on with a new team, but the Colts won’t miss him too much.

The Indianapolis Colts release CB Justin King

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by admin on Wednesday 10 October 2012 at 2:59 pm

The Colts have released 25-year old CB Justin King.  King played in 3 games for the Colts this year and he had 3 tackles and 2 passes defensed.  King has now played in 38 games in his first four years in the NFL and he has 116 tackles, 11 passes defensed, 1 interception, 5 passes defensed, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.  King didn’t play too well for the Colts this year, so he won’t be missed.

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by admin on Sunday 2 September 2012 at 4:16 pm

The Colts have waived 25-year old CB Brandon King.  King played in 4 games for the Colts last year and he had 2 tackles.  He has played in 8 games in his first two years in the NFL and he has only 3 tackles.  This  is no loss for the Colts as they have tightened up at CB in the off-season.

The Indianapolis Colts waive two RBs

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by admin on Sunday 2 September 2012 at 4:15 pm

The Colts have waived 25-year old Deji Karim and 23-year old Darren Evans.  Karim played in 12 games for the Jaguars last year and he carried the ball 63 times for only 130 yards (2.1 ypc).  He also caught 14 passes for 120 yards (8.6 avg) and he returned 27 kickoffs for 652 yards (24.1 avg) in 2011.  Evans played in 2 games for the Colts as a rookie last year, but he didn’t carry the ball.  These are not big losses for the Colts moving forward.

The Indianapolis Colts release long snapper Justin Snow

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Leaving Town by admin on Friday 31 August 2012 at 9:19 pm

The Colts have released 35-year old long snapper Justin Snow.  Snow played in 16 games (0 starts) for the Colts last year.  He played in 192 games (0 starts) in his 12 years with the Colts.  I’m certain that Snow will be on the speed dial of a lot of GMs phones in case the need arises for a long snapper.
