The Indianapolis Colts have signed 25-year old WR Devin Street off of the Patriots’ practice squad.  Street played in 14 games (2 starts) for the Cowboys last year and he caught 7 passes for 114 yards (16.3 avg) with 1 TD grab.  Street has now played in 30 games (2 starts) in his first two years in the NFL and he has caught 9 passes for 132 yards (14.7 avg) with 1 TD grab.  This was a good pickup for the Colts, as they need all the help that they can get at WR with Donte Moncrief out of action for the next 4-6 weeks.

UPDATE:  (9/13/2016) – The Colts have released D’Joun Smith with an injury settlement.

The Indianapolis Colts lose starting LG Jack Mewhort

Blogged under Big Colts News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General Colts Chatter,Injury Reports,Needs to Pick It Up by joelapinski on Thursday 1 September 2016 at 3:36 am

The Indianapolis Colts will be without 24-year old starting left guard Jack Mewhort for the next 2-4 weeks due to a knee injury.  Mewhort played in 16 games (all starts) for the Colts last year.  He has now played in 30 games (all starts) for the Colts in his first two years in the NFL.  If Mewhort has to miss the start of the 2016 season, look for either 23-year old rookie Joe Haeg or 25-year old Jonotthan Harrison to start at LG until he returns to action.  Haeg was a 5th round pick (#155 overall) out of North Dakota State in the 2016 NFL Draft.  Harrison played in 16 games (9 starts) for the Colts last year.  He has now played in 31 games (19 starts) in his first two years in the NFL.  The Colts can’t afford to be without Jack Mewhort too long, as he is one of the best offensive linemen on the team.
