The Colts dominated the stats sheet last night but they had to hold off a very determined Redskins team last night in Washington, D.C. Peyton Manning was his usual solid self completing 25 of 38 passes for 307 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs. Joseph Addai was incredible for once last night with 17 carries for 128 yards (7.5 ypc) with 1 TD run. Mike Hart pitched in with 11 carries for 43 yards (3.9 ypc) in this game. Pierre Garcon led the way in the passing game for the Colts last night with 4 grabs for 103 yards (25.8 avg) with a TD grab. Reggie Wayne (6 rec, 71 yards), Austin Collie (7 rec, 57 yards, TD) and Dallas Clark (6 rec, 52 yards) also pitched in for the Colts last night in the passing game. The Colts finished up with 170 yards rushing on 29 carries (5.9 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 38 passes for 299 yards.
Defensively, the Colts were better than usual but still not good last night. CB Jerraud Powers led the way for the Colts’ D last night with 11 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 passes defensed and 1 INT. Rookie LB Pat Angerer got the start instead of the gimpy Gary Brackett and he looked pretty good finishing with 11 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack, 2 passes defensed and 1 QB hit. Linebacker Clint Session (10 tackles) and safety Aaron Francisco (7 tackles, 1 pass defensed and an amazing interception on the Redskins last play of the game) also had solid games for the Colts. The Redskins finished up with 113 yards rushing on 24 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 45 passes for 222 yards. The Colts are now 4-2 on the year.
